Today lesson 5th April 2012

Todays lesson i have exported my documentary and will showing it to fellow class mates to get any feed back for improvements. Then i will do an evaluation of my documentary and have an over view on how we worked in a group and what we could have do to make it better.

Evaluation
I think as a group we worked extremely hard well i differently did. I had a good input from Zakaria when it cam to filming however editing he tried staying away. Overall i think our documentary project has gone quite well.
Problems Occurred
The problem we faced that did disappoint me and had a massive impact on my documentary was the fact that we weren't granted permission to film inside the store and all employee that weren't. The reason behind this was that managers did want the company logo to be filmed which put us in a very hard position. However to over come this problem we interviewed more people from school so we still get views from people that it will affect now such as student, 'Is it a waste of time for them?'. The benefit of this was that we could as a range of people from different backgrounds.
the next problem that occurred was the timing, the time we were available the people we would liked to interviewed were busy which made it difficult to communicate and get their views.
Improvements
The improvements that i can make on the documentary will be interviewing people will more respect and more important views then others. People that already in a good position in life and real know whats going to be looked at more and valued. This would of helped use put a conclusion on our documentary however we changed the ending and asked a rhetorical question instead which is 'What do you think in valued more EXPERIENCE or a DEGREE?'
Strength
The good thing about our documentary was that it was all original, nothing was copied from youtube or other sources. However we did all at other documentaries to give us some insight and inspiration. It helped us understand what type of documentary category is falls into.

Media Homework 19/03/12

Accuracy: This means how reliable the source is and how true it is. the more true it is more people will believe in it.
Balance: this is important and will happen in some documentaries. this is when the presenter will talk about for and against a topic and will let the customer decide what is right and wrong.
Impartiality: this is when the presenter will be give equal respect an empathy on both sides to show know one being biased or being favoured.
Objectivity: this is when the business shows a clear judgement.
Subjectivity: is when the producer ensures that no opinion is included within the programmer therefore preventing the problem of it being unbiased.
Opinion: this is when you or someone else will give their own view on something. its something that hasn't been proven in anyway.
Bias: this when someone or a group of people will favour one thing more then others. this is usually done in the news when they will favour for or against more.
Representation: this when their is a symbol or thing to help show the true meaning of something to help the viewers understand easier.
Access: This is what information the presenter can use.
Privacy: The presenter will make sure that peoples ID starts anonymous if they don't what people to know their ID.
Contract with viewer: this means that before a show starts or a documentary their is an outline or summary on what their documentary is about. this is usual done to show the customers that their program has met the expectations and should carry on watching the program. for example: in information button of the sky remote gives the viewer information about the program.
